A new home for Limerick Museum

Tandem honoured to play our part in re-presenting the city’s rich heritage

Following our projects at King John’s Castle and Lough Gur, Tandem’s long association with Limerick continues. We worked with Limerick City and County Council to design a new Limerick Museum in a former Fransciscan Friary, in the heart of the city. We planned and curated displays of notable items reflecting Limerick’s social history and industrial heritage, including fine examples of Georgian silver, Limerick lace and even a mummified cat.

The new museum is currently at ‘phase one’ and hopes to expand its exhibition space in the future to house its collection of more than 55,000 historical items.
