When developing the interpretation for the new visitor centre at The Gobbins, a daring cliffside path on County Antrim’s east coast, Tandem’s remit extended to designing a new brandmark and guidelines for its use throughout the visitor experience.
The brand visually referenced the classic tourism imagery of the early 1900s, when the dramatic coastal walk at The Gobbins first opened to the public.
Bold graphic lines and bright block colours pick out the features of the cliff and the iconic Tubular Bridge, creating a visually appealing and instantly recognisable icon.
The brandmark was then incorporated into a range of merchandise for sale in the shop, including mugs, magnets, keyrings and postcards.
The unique experience of The Gobbins coastal walk is communicated through a contemporary brandmark with a classic feel.
