Dream interpretation project

It would be great to create a social and cultural history of noise in Ireland: from the sounds of Mesolitihic people flint knapping, medieval monastic bells, the sound of horses hooves on cobbled stones, musicians in shebeens, guttering candles, the sound of the first public clock in a town square (or a watch in someone’s pocket), the crackle of telegraphic and electric wires, the voices of 2RN and 2BE (the precursors to RTÉ and BBC Northern Ireland) and the hum of television.
