Jessica Sampson

Jessica Sampson

Interior/Spatial Designer

Jessica’s background in Commercial Interior Design has given her a strong foundation in spatial planning, visitor flow and human-centred design. Her passion is creating clear narrative journeys, engaging environments and well-resolved, buildable solutions for both commercial and heritage contexts.

Her experience in materiality, specifying finishes and detailing allow her to translate concept to reality in a way that is both practical and creative.

Beyond the studio

With a strong affinity for the outdoors Jessica loves to explore the coastline of her hometown Bangor and further afield, alongside her husband, two children & cocker spaniel, Stevie (named after Nicks!).

As an artist and painter she has exhibited in the Annual RUA Exhibition in the Ulster Museum and The Yard Gallery. She enjoys visiting galleries and museums when travelling to new places and has been known to drag her family on walking tours lasting several hours- a good pair of trainers is key for any trip, preferably Nike Air Max 90’s or a Puma Palermo in a bright colourway.

Dream interpretation project

A Dream Interpretation Project would be considering Kilkenny’s legacy of design innovation in dialogue with its medieval past. Inspired by a recent visit to a friend’s installation at the Butler Gallery and a weekend spent exploring the city including the Design Centre and Medieval Mile Museum, the project would reflect how contemporary art encounters and reimagines Kilkenny’s historic environment.
