Tandem applies tried and tested interpretive principles to each project we undertake, no matter how big or small. We offer consultation services on a range of interpretive issues, from developing an interpretive framework to update a local visitor attraction to applying for an HLF Round 2 Heritage Grant for a new museum.
Working closely with the client and wider stakeholder team, we scope each project and define the basis for research in line with the needs of the project.
We develop a holistic understanding of the subject and put the visitor experience into context in its surrounding area, by analysing curriculum links, visitor profiles, or social or economic contexts of the area for example.
In the Design Brief stage these findings are analysed to inform the thematic wireframe for the project, linking ideas to the physical space, plotting a full spatial analysis and mapping of the visitor journey and planning the sequence of core themes against the desired visitor outcomes to ensure a solid and logical basis to the visitor experience.
